GoldPlus
FAQ

Honest answers,
no fine print.

The basics

What is GoldPlus, exactly?

A digital gold account. You buy real 24K gold in tiny amounts, it's held in your name in an insured vault, and you can sell, redeem in physical coins, or load it onto our card whenever you like.

How is this different from buying jewellery?

It's the same metal (24K, BIS 999.9 hallmarked), but without the making-charges, the storage worry, or the dressing-up-for-the-jeweller. You also get to sell in seconds, which a bangle doesn't let you do.

What's the minimum buy?

₹10. The smallest unit on every other platform is at least ₹100 — we mean ten.

Safety

Where is my gold actually kept?

In Brink's and Sequel vaults across India, allocated and held in your name by SafeGold. Audited monthly. You can request the audit certificate from inside the app.

Is it insured?

Yes — the vaults are commercially insured by SafeGold's custody arrangements. Your gold is your asset; SafeGold are the custodians, we're the platform.

What happens if GoldPlus shuts down?

Your gold isn't on our balance sheet. It sits with SafeGold under your name. If we vanish tomorrow, you contact SafeGold directly and they release your gold to you.

Buying and selling

How is the price decided?

The buy and sell prices are quoted by SafeGold, updated every couple of minutes against the live market. We don't mark them up — what you pay is what they charge. The 1% spread between buy and sell is theirs, not ours.

Is there a lock-in?

No. There's no minimum holding period and no exit penalty. Sell whenever you like.

Are there hidden fees?

No platform fee, no withdrawal fee, no “processing” charge. We make money from the partner commission SafeGold pays us — never from your pocket.

KYC and money movement

Do I need KYC?

Only if you want to buy more than ₹1,000 in a transaction, or withdraw money. Below ₹1,000 you can use the app fully without it.

What does KYC need?

PAN number, last 4 of Aadhaar, postal address, and a selfie. The whole flow takes about ninety seconds. We never ask for your full Aadhaar.

How fast are payouts?

Sale proceeds land in your INR wallet instantly. Bank withdrawals settle via IMPS in a few minutes, depending on your bank.

The card

Is the GoldPlus card a credit card?

No — it's a prepaid VISA. You sell gold, load the proceeds onto the card, swipe at any merchant. No interest, no statement, no monthly cycle.

Can I use it abroad?

In v1 it's India-only. We're working on enabling international use after the GST + RBI compliance review.

What does it cost?

Free for the first year, ₹0 issuance. Year-two annual fee TBD; we'll tell you well in advance.

Didn't see your question?

We'll answer it, usually the same day.
